Lunch with a Community Leader – Wednesday, September 10th

Chris Reddin, the Executive Director of the Business Incubator Center, has invited us to join her for lunch. Come learn more about the Incubator and challenges entrepreneurs face. Chris was involved with the Incubator as an entrepreneur for nearly 10 years before becoming Director in January 2007. Prior to joining the staff, Chris spent 3 years on the Incubator campus as a partner and CFO with Mountain Sprouts, a 2006 graduate of the Incubator program. Chris’ professional background also includes business starts in the restaurant and retail sectors as well as having served as Operations Manager at bicycle component manufacturer, DT Swiss. Chris has a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Cornell University where she co-founded a student-run business incubator.

Coaching is Coming Back! (Hilltop’s that is) – Tuesday, September 16th

Coaches Sally Schaefer, David Livingston and Carl Willoughby are offering free classes. They are monthly and you can just show up. Sally Schaefer, the CEO of Hilltop, is well know for her leadership and development coaching skills; this in a wonderful opportunity for the Grand Valley Young Professionals. When: Classes are from 9:00 to 11:45am on the following dates this year: 09/16, 10/21, 11/18.
